3D printing: can it make surgery more accessible?

The advancement of 3-Dimensional (3D) printing technology has made the design and production items increasingly ubiquitous amongst public. This is being used widely in various medical fields. With its increasing cost efficiency accessibility, it author's perspective that 3D can improve accessibility to surgical procedures low- medium-income countries (LMIC) by providing proceduralists with basic equipment required perform routine operations.
